Here are just some of the many things to love about Unpaste:
Effective. Our tooth tabs gently polish your teeth with cellulose, leaving fewer places for bacteria to attach. And less plaque and tartar buildup leads to healthier teeth and gums. Hooray! In fact, a clinical study showed significant plaque reduction after just 14 days of using our tooth tabs.
Safe. Unpaste™ is made in Europe and FDA registered. Our tablets meet strict EU health standards and are certified by Aktion Zahnfreundlich, a German organization responsible for reviewing oral hygiene products.
Less abrasive. Unpaste™ protects your teeth and gets them squeaky clean for that “just-after-the-dentist” feeling. A clinical study showed that our tooth tabs, with their low abrasion (or RDA) value, removed plaque as well or better than toothpaste with higher RDA values.
No fluff. Our tooth tabs contain no preservatives, SLS, sodium saccharin, artificial colors, aluminum or nanoparticles.
Choice. Pick mint or cinnamon in fluoride and non-fluoride versions. (Not that we’re bragging, but ours was the first fluoride tablet in the United States.)

They contain zero preservatives, SLS, sodium saccharin, artificial colors, aluminum or nanoparticles. Unpaste™ is also gluten free and made with waterless, carbon-neutral manufacturing.
Here’s the complete list of our ingredients:
Microcrystalline cellulose polishes your teeth and helps prevent plaque from forming.
Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) adjusts the pH and works as a gentle polishing agent.
Silica helps to remove any soft plaque.
Amisoft (sodium lauroyl glutamate) is a gentle rinsing agent that helps flush what you brush into the sink.
Magnesium stearate is a plant-based ingredient that helps bind the other ingredients into tablet form.
Natural mint flavor (from mentha arvensis leaf oil) and menthol gives the mint-flavored tooth tabs a fresh, cool taste.
Natural cinnamon flavor (from cinnamomum cassia leaf oil) adds a warm, sweet and spicy taste to the cinnamon-flavored tooth tabs.
Xanthan gum is a natural thickener and gelling agent that gives our tooth tabs their consistency and texture.
Stevia is a plant that provides a natural touch of sweetness.
Citric acid regulates the tablet’s pH so it’s gentle on sensitive gums.

Q. For the fluoride version, how much fluoride is in each tab?
A. There is .62 mg of fluoride in each fluoride tooth tab.
Q. Will Unpaste Tooth Tabs make my teeth whiter?
It’s definitely possible, but it’s not because of any specific bleaching ingredients. Unpaste™ polishes your teeth to a high gloss, which increases how much light is reflected. This makes them look shinier, just like after you leave the dentist. Our tooth tabs also help remove tea, coffee, red wine and nicotine stains so your smile appears brighter and whiter.
Q. Do Unpaste Tooth Tabs expire?
The official expiration date for the fluoride tabs is three years after production, but the fluoride-free tabs only lose a bit of flavor over time and don’t expire.
Q. What’s your packaging made of?
We use post-consumer-waste-recycled paper with an interior biofilm coating made from non-GMO lactic acid. It’s fully compostable and printed with soy inks.
Q. What kind of certifications does Unpaste have?
Unpaste™ tooth tabs are made in Europe and FDA registered. We meet strict EU health standards, Aktion Zahnfreundlich, a German organization responsible for reviewing oral hygiene products, found Unpaste™ to be safe and effective. Unpaste™ is also Leaping Bunny certified and our packaging is certified for industrial compost, meaning it’s been proven to degrade 90% after a maximum of 90 days.
Q. How many tooth tab flavors do you make?
Right now, just two—mint and cinnamon. But more (plus new products) are on the way!
Q. Is Unpaste vegan & cruelty free?
Yes. We don’t use any animal-based ingredients and never, ever test on animals. Unpaste™ is also Leaping Bunny certified.
Q. Besides being plastic-free, how else is Unpaste better for the environment than toothpaste?
We use waterless, carbon-neutral manufacturing and don’t add any water to our tooth tabs.
Q. Do Unpaste tooth tabs foam?
Nope. Foam doesn’t clean your teeth AND it requires chemicals like sodium lauryl sulfate and diethanolamine (DEA) that can cause canker sores and disrupt hormones. We leave the foam to fancy coffee drinks for a better brushing experience.

Q. Why are Unpaste tooth tabs the world’s greatest?
Our tooth tabs may look simple from the outside, but they’re the result of tireless trial and error to get the taste and consistency just right. They crush easily, but aren’t chalky or grainy. The taste is subtle and fresh. They don’t foam or fizz or do anything weird in your mouth. If you’re switching from toothpaste, we bet you’ll find them surprisingly normal.
